Kaiden's Kitchen

Well, today i awoke to a sick boy. Kaiden spiked one heck of a fever last night, so it was my turn to stay home with him today. I don't mind, spending time with the kids....sick or not.....is time well spent in my book.
We made it to the doctor only to find out it's a virus, Rose-e-ole maybe? So, he was pretty chipper at the doc. but, that's what motrin can do. So we came home, and he was ready to eat some lunch.
This week every day after work i've worked on completing the kitchen project, and i'm happy to say Minus one piece of floor molding, the kitchen is DONE!
So today was as good a day as any to break in the newly redone kitchen nook. I placed Kai at the table for the first time, and his eyes got as big as a saucer! He is now officially a "BIG BOY"!
Needless to say he was more than eager to eat some food. Sooooo he had some mac and cheese, a hot dog, and some real cheese followed by some purple juice. He was more than happy! (one must note that wouldn't normally make this kind of meal, but it was there and quick!)

So, you can all see Kai, enjoying his big boy chair.
The door trimmed out, Nicole's wonderfull hutch, and the old table ALL put back in place.
A little of everything here, looks like this will be a good place for the family to eat and be together at meal time!

This isn't actually a lunch picture, more of a breakfast shot of the boy and his "milk and toast". He was actually waveing at the time, since i told him he needed to hurry up and eat so we could head to the doctor.....or in "kai..kai" language....we go "bye-bye's"

So, check another one off the list for me. Now on to the next project. What might that be you might ask? Stay tuned, there's always lots to do around an old house like this!
