Have work????? Will Travel

I made the statement a while back that....I'd travel anywhere for work....So, not long after i made that comment i discovered i'd been booked to do some work in....of all places.........Vegas baby....VEGAS!!!! Turns out my inlaws had heard that statement and had big plans for me.

So on friday i found myself on a plane headed for Vegas to install of all things Bamboo Flooring. Now i've done all the flooring in our house, but it was the fake, snap together flooring. This flooring Cal and Trudy had picked out was the real deal....no fake stuff for them. As i rode on the plane i could only hope that things would go smoothly.


Saturday found Cal and i running around for a compressor, a hardwood flooring Nailer, and a few other misc. items needed for the install. Finally after a couple of extra trips we got things straightend out and flooring started to go down. I finally quit at 7 p.m., but i'd almost finished the first room. A long day but the success was worth it! Here is a shot of the first room done, this is to be kev's temp. room as we worked on his room.



Sunday, i awoke to a new helper eager and willing to help haul out old carpet, throw away the old pad and pull all the staples from the floor. I kinda think Kevin was eager to get this stuff done, because then he'd get his room back!

Sunday night found me about 3/4 of the way done with Kevins room. Finally around 3 p.m. my body said it'd had enough, and i had to quit for the day. So here is where i left it for Sunday night.

After hard work like that and 100 deg. heat, there is only one thing that sounds good.....

ICE COLD BEER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So Old Leroy....or Elwood, as i call him, shared a cold beer in celbration of one room done, and 1/4 of another to go.

Well, it's time to get to work.

From the South where it's Hotter'n'Hell, dogs still drink beer, and we put down some floor too!
